Infrastructure major Punj Lloyd today said it has bagged a contract of Rs 1,023-crore project in Maharashtra.
The contract is awarded by Dhariwal Infrastructure, RPG Group firm, by issuing a Letter of Intent, Punj Lloyd said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE.
The contract is for engineering, procurement and construction work required to complete the project, it said.
The work involves plant systems, including civil and structural works for entire plant, erection, testing and commissioning services for boiler, turbine and generators on a 2x300 Mw thermal power project at Tadali village, near Chandrapur in Maharashtra, it said.
Punj Lloyd further said the UK-based subsidiary Simon Carves has obtained takeover certificate of the engineering and construction of the world's largest wheat to bio-ethanol plant at Teesside (England) for its client, Ensus UK.
The client has decided to levy liquidated damages to the extent of GBP 23.1 million (Rs 159.43 crore) owing to delay in achieving the completion of this project.
Shares of Punj Lloyd closed at Rs 181.55, up 0.92 per cent from the previous close on the BSE.
