Qatar Airways denies plan to buy SpiceJet stake

Qatar Airways on Tuesday said it was not interested in buying stake in SpiceJet or any other Indian airline. Earlier, there were reports the Gulf carrier was planning to buy equity stake in SpiceJet. Chief executive Akbar Al Baker said, “This is pure speculation by individuals, who deliberately want to spread such unfounded rumours to raise the stock value of their entities.”
