Ramsarup Industries Ltd., second largest producer of steel wires in India, has bagged orders worth Rs 164 crore for Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana (RGGVY) electrification work from the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Co Ltd.
The Company will facilitate electrification of 2,527 villages in the districts of 24 Paraganas, Howrah and Birbhum in the state, and will be putting up 225,000 household electricity connections. Ramsarup Industries has successfully carried out similar orders in Rajasthan.
“We are pleased with the order bagged from the West Bengal State Electricity Board to pursue electrification I the three prominent districts of the state and we hope to complete the project in good time”, aid Ashish Jhunjhunwala, CMD of Ramasarup Industries.
Ramsarup is currently executing nine orders from Rajasthan and two in West Bengal in the Power and Transmission sector.
