Rei Agro PAT, Gemini Communication & Cummins India Q3 results

Basmati rice processing and marketing company Rei Agro reported a 92.32 per cent decline in profit after tax to Rs 2.03 crore in the third quarter ended December 2008. The company had a PAT of Rs 26.44 crore in the December quarter of FY08. The total income increased to Rs 572.15 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 455.94 crore a year ago. Shares of the company closed at Rs 605, down 2.65 per cent on the BSE.

Gemini Communication net dips 30%

Chennai: Gemini Communication has reported a 30 per cent drop in net profit during the quarter ended December 2008 to Rs 9.25 crore, compared to Rs 12.05 crore, during same period last year. The company’s total income during the third quarter dropped by 5.69 per cent to Rs 50.25 crore from Rs 53.11 crore, a year ago.

Cummins India net soars 78.71%

Pune: Heavy cash flow generated through the recently-sold rental business and rupee depricitation have helped Cummins India post a rise of 78.71 per cent in net profit to Rs 133.34 crore during the third quarter of the current financial year against Rs 74.61 crore during the same period last year.
