Billionaire Mukesh Ambani wants telecom venture Reliance Jio’s soft launch on Sunday to become a platform where the company showcases its technology. The event will be broadcast live on its Jio network to 1,000-plus locations for all employees who cannot physically be present at the musical soiree. From seat allocations to parking slots, everything will be done digitally.

Reliance Corporate Park in Navi Mumbai will be the nerve centre and the 1,000 locations will be connected through Jio’s own high-speed network, enabling two-way video interaction between employees outside Mumbai and Ambani.

He will take questions from employees on the project, the technology and his vision for the service.

MDA, as Ambani is known within the company, believes its employee strength is the sample size of India and, therefore, they are best suited to validate the network as well as its service quality.

Present at the venue will be 35,000 employees, while close to 50,000 will watch the launch from other centres within India and from Dallas, America.

The keyword in this event is digital. Therefore, from invitations to seat allocations, everything will be done virtually. All invites have been sent digitally. The link on the digital invite will lead employees to an exclusive portal managed by BookMyShow.

Seats will be allocated to employees and their family members through the portal. However, unlike movie tickets, BookMyShow will not allow employees to choose seats. Seat allocation will happen automatically and codes will be generated to facilitate electronic allocation. Car parking too is allotted by the same portal.
