RINL posts 34% growth in sales in first quarter
VSP achieves sales turnover of Rs 2,762 cr this fiscal with a significant jump in exports to Rs 425 cr
BS Reporter Visakhapatnam RINL, the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, posted a 34 per cent growth in sales during the first quarter of the current fiscal as compared with the corresponding period last fiscal.
VSP achieved a sales turnover of Rs 2,762 crore this fiscal with a significant jump in exports to Rs 425 crore as against Rs 147 crore in the Q1 of last year, a press release stated.
The growth achieved in production of hot metal, liquid steel, saleable steel and coke in comparison to the first quarter of previous year was 6 per cent, 9 per cent, 14 per cent and 5 per cent respectively.
A growth of 18 per cent was achieved in captive power generation as well, the press release added.
