Rishad Premji gets Rs 1.7-cr salary

Rishad Premji, elder son of Wipro chairman Azim Premji who was inducted into the firm's board of directors in May, received a total remuneration of close to Rs 1.7 crore in FY15.

Rishad, who joined the company in July 2007, is currently chief strategy officer of the Bengaluru-based company.

His remuneration comprises salary, allowances, commission, performance-based payments, perquisite and the company's contribution to the provision fund and superannuation, and a pro-rated value of restricted stock units granted to employees.

His appointment as executive director will be ratified at the company's annual general meeting scheduled for July 22, the company has said.
