Satyam helps Rain CII Carbon win award

Satyam Computer Services today said its consultants helped Rain CII Carbon, producer of calcined petroleum coke, apply the Theory of Constraints, a management technique, to key plant operations and maintenance processes.

This helped Rain CII cut the turnaround time by 25 per cent at its manufacturing plants in Gramercy, Louisiana and Robinson and Illinois. Rain CII was awarded a Progressive Manufacturing 100 Award by Managing Automation India. It would be considered for Progressive Manufacturer of the Year award or one of eight achiever awards, a release said.
