Simbhaoli Sugar Q2 net loss at Rs 17 cr

Simbhaoli Sugar today reported a net loss of Rs 17 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2010.

The company had a net profit of Rs 61 lakh for the quarter ended March 2008-09, Simbhaoli Sugar said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

Total income rose to Rs 34.10 crore for the March quarter, from Rs 15.56 crore in the same period last year.

For the year ended March 31, 2010, the company had reported a net profit of Rs 26.6 crore.

However, it had a net loss of Rs 11 crore in the same period last year.
