Snapdeal partners with Mahindra to sell bullet proof kits

Company says, first time Indian customers will be able to access such a product in the online space

Online marketplace Snapdeal.com has partnered with Defense Land Systems India, a Mahindra group company, to sell bullet proof kits for Scorpio vehicles in the country.

In a strategic tie up with Defense Land Systems India, the products (bullet proof kits for Scorpio) will be made available on Snapdeal for the first time, especially keeping in mind the election season, Snapdeal.com said in a statement.

"This is the first time Indian customers will be able to access such a product in the online space," Snapdeal.com Business Development Vice President Tony Navin said.

The company is pleased to be able to offer a range of bullet proof kits to buyers online who are looking at a credible source for such requirements and are often in doubt about the right buying platform for the same, he added.

"Our offer through Snapdeal is to provide the relevant NIJ Level 2 (protection levels against 9 mm bullets) kits for protection-in-transit solutions to the citizens of the country," Defense Land Systems India, Senior General Manager, Sukhvindar Hayer said.
