Snapdeal to sell rural artisans produced from Tamil Nadu under exclusive brand

Snapdeal.com, India's leading online marketplace, has signed a MOU with Tamil Nadu Handicrafts Development Corporation, a Government of Tamil Nadu Enterprise, for online promotion and selling of traditional Handicrafts from Tamil Nadu. Snapdeal will create an exclusive store in its website to sell Handicrafts from Tamil Nadu under an exclusive brand.

Ranging from unique brass products or stone & wood carvings or sandalwood products, these varied crafts add elegance and splendor to consumers' taste & lifestyle all over the world will be sold through Snapdeal.com.

Snapdeal will create a dedicated store exclusively selling Handicrafts from Tamil Nadu under the brand name of 'Poompuhar'.

Through this exclusive store, Snapdeal will equip the artisans with online cataloguing and help them refine their product offerings through its data analytics tools. The Poompuhar-Snapdeal store set to be launched in March 2015, will let customers shop for a wide range of signature products like brass products, stone & wood carvings, sandalwood products etc.
