Pune based and technology & analytics firm Sokrati is extensively eyeing for the SME's for its online advertising business. Taking a closer look at the same, the company has prepared analytics based on their experience to study trends so as to offer tailor made services to these SME's. Company's business is now divided into three verticals namely enterprise, small and medium enterprise and shops.

Speaking to Business Standard. Santosh Gannavarapu, co-founder, Sokrati said, "On a real time basis, Sokrati drives over a staggering count of 12 million monthly visits to advertisers by managing over 100 million active ad entities. Sokrati services around 8,000 clients currently from diverse fields, a major one being the food and restaurant category. The dynamic transformation in lifestyle patterns of the urban population makes it fascinating to study the ongoing food habits. With convenience being in the forefront, take-away, online ordering and quick bites are the most preferred options."

Founded in 2009, by former Amazon.com colleagues Ashish Mehta, Santosh Gannavarapu and Anubhav Sonthalia, Sokrati has built proprietary algorithms to manage performance-driven marketing spends on paid search, social and display networks. Sokrati is Google's largest preferred partner in India. It services around 11,000 clients currently from various fields like, e-commerce, travel, finance, baking and technology to name a few among 280 categories. In 2011, Sokrati has secured Series A funding from Inventus Capital. According to Gannavarapu, in India there are more than 48 million SMEs which is third largest market in the world and its a huge opportunity for technology & analytics companies.

The onlline advertising market of India is of $ 130 million and growing rapidly. It is still in nascent stage as compared to US and China which is of $ 1 billion each. Recently, the Silicon Valley chapter of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) has identified Sokrati among the Indian start ups for its Billion Dollar Babies initiative, under which it will handhold these start ups, take them to the US market, and work towards a billion-dollar valuation for each.

Sokrati has fabricated proprietary algorithms to manage performance driven marketing spends on paid search, social and display networks. Diving deeper into the behaviour patterns with relation to food ordering, Sokrati has conducted a research on the restaurants being serviced through their online digital advertising platform.
