Solar energy projects of 505 MW capacity will be established in Rajasthan, a move which, the state government said, is likely to attract investment of Rs 6,000 crore in private sector.
The Centre has "recently executed tender process to select solar power projects of 630 mw capacity to be established in the country. Out of the total capacity, projects of 505 mw capacity will be set up in Rajasthan alone," an official statement said here.
"This is likely to attract investment of around Rs 6,000 crore in private sector," it said.
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has said that the state would soon become a hub of solar energy with his government improving the required basic infrastructure.
