According to official release, GE will provide flight data analytics and fuel management to optimise the airline's operational efficiency with the goal of substantially reducing fuel expenses for the airline.
"India has among the highest jet fuel prices in the world," said Alan Caslavka, president of Avionics & Digital Systems for GE Aviation. "We are excited about the partnership with SpiceJet and look forward to working with them to realise substantial savings." Deliveries for the program will begin in late July 2014.
GE's flight efficiency services, a fuel efficiency management software, is used by a large number of the leading airlines worldwide.
