Srei BNP Paribas to raise $50 mn from overseas market

Srei BNP Paribas today signed a loan agreement with Singapore's DBS Bank Limited for raising $50 million as external commercial borrowings (ECBs).

Srei BNP Paribas's Joint Managing Director Sunil Kanoria said the loan amount would be used to finance purchase of infrastructure equipment.

Kanoria said during the current financial year, Srei BNP had targeted a disbursement amount of Rs 9,000 crore.

He added that the company planned to raise Rs 5,000 crore to Rs 6,000 crore from the market and around Rs 3,000 crore from internal accruals.

Last fiscal, the disbursements made by the company was Rs 6,000 crore.

Srei BNP is a 50:50 joint venture between Srei Infrastructure Finance and BNP Paribas Lease Group.
