Public sector miner NMDC Limited has reduced the price of iron ore lumps by Rs 500 per tonne and Rs 300 for the fines for the month of March.
The lump ore price is revised to Rs 3,250 and that of fines to Rs 2,460, according to the company filing with the stock exchanges.
For the month of February, 2015 the price of lumps and fines were Rs 3,750 and Rs 2,760 respectively.
The company's iron ore production for the 11- moth period ending February 2015 stood at 27.82 million tonnes as compared to 26.42 million tonnes in the same period previous year though sales remained almost the same level at 27.25 million tonnes, according to the information furnished by the company.
