Sudarshan Venu appointed addl director of Sundaram-Clayton

Sundaram-Clayton Limited (SCL) today announced the appointment of Sudarshan Venu, the son of the company's managing director and TVS Motor Company Limited chairman Venu Srinivasan, as an additional director on its board.

A company release here said Sudarshan Venu held a Masters in International Technology Management from Warwick Manufacturing Group at the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom.

"Sudarshan Venu is a graduate with Honours from the Jerome Fisher Programme in Management and Technology at the University of Pennsylvania, US, (and has) also obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the School of Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Economics, both from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania," it said.

He has undergone training in the die casting division of SCL and in TVS Motor Company Limited, the release said, adding that considering his academic background and exposure to industry, "it is considered that he will be a good asset to the company".
