Sun Pharmaceutical Industries today posted a consolidated net profit (after minority interest) of Rs 350.15 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2010.
The company had a net profit of Rs 338.95 crore in the same period last fiscal, Sun Pharma said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Net sales of the company stood at Rs 1,601.07 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2010, while the same was at Rs 1,020.86 crore in the same period last fiscal.
Sun Pharma said its financial results for the third quarter this fiscal are not comparable with the same period in last fiscal, as Israel's Taro Pharmaceutical Industries became its subsidiary during the period.
Shares of Sun Pharma were today trading at Rs 436.10 on the BSE in late afternoon trade, down 2.86 per cent from its previous close.
