Under the agreement HOOQ would now carry Sun TV's library that includes a mix of films in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages including the latest hit movies.
With around 33 channels across the South Indian languages, Sun Group's existing library has about 11,000 titles, which is said to be among the largest in the industry.
S L Narayanan, group CFO, Sun Group, said, "We are excited about the possibilities arising out of our association with HOOQ, a digital distribution platform of impeccable lineage."
Peter Bithos, chief executive officer of HOOQ said Sun TV Network's extensive library with titles from various South Indian languages will help the company to ensure that the company "have something for everyone in India". HOOQ is poised to offer over 30,000 hours of movies and TV series in various languages.
