Sun TV today reported 41.37% jump in net profit at Rs 218.38 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015, on the back higher advertisement revenue.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 154.47 crore in the same period of last fiscal, Sun TV said in a BSE filing.

Total income from operations stood at Rs 568.09 crore as against Rs 509.02 crore in the year-ago period, up 11.6%.

Advertisement revenue was up by 15.8% during the quarter at Rs 301.37 crore as against Rs 260.26 crore in the year-ago period, it added.

Subscription revenue was at Rs 197.42 crore as against Rs 179.48 crore in the same period last fiscal, up 9.99%, the company said.

Shares of Sun TV were trading at Rs 383.30 in the mid-day trade, down 0.53% from previous close on the BSE.
