Sun TV Network is restructuring its distribution business and team into two new divisions (‘verticals’). One will handle South India operations and international business. The second would focus on expanding the Sun TV bouquet into the northern, western and eastern markets of India.
The Chennai-based television network has appointed Mohammed Mujeebuddin and Jawed Akthar to head the two units.
Mujeebuddin will head South India and international operations. His last assignment was with Star Den Media Services. Akthar will head the North, East and Western India operations. He was associated with the Star group for 13 years, where he was executive vice president -distribution, managing their all-India cable distribution business.
