Surana Telecom today said its board has approved to demerge the solar business of the company with Surana Ventures.
The board has given its nod "to demerge the solar business of Surana Telecom and Power Ltd and consolidate it with Surana Ventures Ltd," subject to the approval of the shareholders, Surana Telecom said in a filing to Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
On demerger, Surana Ventures would issue shares to the existing shareholders of Surana Telecom and Power and would seek listing in BSE and National Stock Exchange.
