Lighting and steel pipes maker Surya Roshni will invest Rs 550 crore over the next three years on its expansion and scale up the company's Kashipur facility as part of this process.
The company's Kashipur facility will be expanded to produce 20 lakh CFL bulbs, Surya Roshni Deputy Managing Director Arvind Bansal told reporters here.
The company will invest Rs 550 crore over the next three years to become a Rs 5,000 crore group. At present, it has a turnover of Rs 1,500 crore.
The Kashipur facility will entail an investment of Rs 20 crore. While, a new plant at Malanpur will be set up with Rs 100 crore.
For this expansion the group will employ 6,000 new people in a year, Bansal said.
The company exports various products to 45 countries including US and Europe.
