Wind turbine major Suzlon's subsidiary SEFORGE today secured a contract worth Rs 367 crore for supplying equipment for wind towers over a period of three years, the company said.

SEFORGE signed a purchase agreement with a leading wind turbine manufacturer for the supply of equipment used for building wind towers, Suzlon said in a BSE filing.

However, Suzlon did not divulge the name of the company with which the agreement was signed.

"This agreement underscores our ability to deliver components that meet the exacting standards of the global wind industry," SEFORGE chief executive officer Kamlesh Bhadani said.

The Rs 367 crore contract covers supply of flanges (used for wind turbine towers) for projects in India and international markets, the company said.

"This is a very important order that underscores our collaborative relationship with other major wind turbine companies world over," Chairman Suzlon Tulsi Tanti said.

Shares of Suzlon today were quoting at Rs 28.25 in the afternoon trade, down 1.74% on the BSE.
