Two-wheeler maker Suzuki Motorcycle India today reported a jump of 93 per cent in its sales in January at 20,441 units over the same month in 2009.

"Suzuki has great plans for the coming year and this is only the beginning. This growth momentum will further accelerate in coming months," Suzuki Motorcycle India (SMIPL) Vice President (Sales and Marketing) Atul Gupta said in a statement.

The subsidiary of the Japanese auto giant Suzuki Motor Corporation attributed robust growth last month to the response to its new motorcycle GS150R and its only scooter Access 125, it added.
