Tamil Nadu Newsprint June qtr net dips 71% at Rs 7 cr

Tamil Nadu Newsprint & Papers today reported a decline of 71 per cent in its net profit of Rs 7.14 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2009, over the same period last year.

The company had a net profit of Rs 24.65 crore in the same quarter last year, Tamil Nadu Newsprint said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).     

Total income declined to Rs 183.35 crore in the latest quarter, against Rs 254.84 crore in the same period last year.

Shares of Tamil Nadu Newsprint & Papers were trading at Rs 77.25 on the BSE, down 4.63 per cent from previous close.
