Tata, Mahindra to co-host power lunch during Geithner visit

Industrialists Anand Mahindra and Ratan Tata will co-host a power lunch for CEOs with the visiting US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner on April 7.

The US-India Economic and Financial Partnership assembly in Mumbai will be on the lines of the US-China engagement, industry sources said.

Besides M&M head Anand Mahindra and Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata, Reliance Industries Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani, ICICI Bank CEO Chanda Kochhar, Tata Consultancy Services' S Ramadorai and State Bank of India Chairman O P Bhatt would be present at the luncheon.

Kotak Mahinda Bank's Uday Kotak, Piramal Healthcare's Swati Piramal and IDFC's Rajiv Lall would also be present.

Opportunities for Growth and Job Creation in India and the US would be on agenda at the power lunch meeting, sources said.

The Consul General of US in Mumbai Paul A Folmsbee and Anil Kahani, Senior Advisor for India in the US Department of Treasury would also join the meeting.
