Tata Power, India's largest private sector electricity generating company, today posted a 81.67 per cent decline in consolidated net profit which stood at Rs 92.57 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2009 as against Rs 505.17 crore posted in the same quarter a year ago.
According to details available on the Bombay Stock Exchange website, total income of the company for the same quarter dropped to Rs 4,378 crore, a decline of 6.29 per cent as compared to Rs 4,672 crore recorded in the corresponding quarter a year ago.
