Tata Tea, largest tea manufacturing company in India, has posted a 10 per cent dip in its net profit to Rs 37 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2008 as compared to Rs 41 crore for the corresponding previous quarter. Total income of the company during the quarter increased to Rs 327 crore from Rs 294 crore for the corresponding previous quarter.
The group has posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 75 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2008 as compared to Rs 43 crore for corresponding previous quarter. During the quarter total income of the company increased from Rs 1019 crore to Rs 1142 crore.
