Indian IT major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Tuesday joined hands with US-based security firm Palo Alto Networks to announce the availability of "public cloud security services".
This will help enterprises securely migrate applications and data to the public cloud.
The new services offer "Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Security Platform", which can protect the customer organisations' applications and data in the public cloud with enablement and protection against known and unknown cyberthreats.
"We are delighted to team up with TCS to help customers in their cloud journey with unparalleled next-generation, breach-prevention security capabilities," said Chad Kinzelberg, senior Vice President (Business and Corporate Development) at Palo Alto Networks.
"Our collaboration gives organisations the confidence to use public cloud for their applications and maintain complete visibility, control and protection of their most valued data assets," Kinzelberg said in a statement.
They will also provide a range of services including consulting, audit and assessment, design, 24/7 operations and threat analysis as well as forensics to customers who are either migrating on-premise applications to or building new applications in the public cloud.
TCS' global Security Operations Centres will be leveraged to monitor advanced cyberthreats and secure organisations against malicious cyberattacks.
"TCS secures organisations against evolving cyberthreats through a global network of cybersecurity experts and sophisticated tools and processes that constantly work towards strengthening our customer's cyber defence," noted Sathish Thiagarajan, Global Head, Cyber Security Group, TCS.
"This collaboration with Palo Alto Networks will enable our customers to benefit from a service that takes a holistic and preventive approach towards cyber threats in the public cloud environment," he said.
