Thermax net up 88%

Thermax has posted 88.2 per cent increase in net profit for the third quarter of the current financial year. The company's net profit was Rs 55.5 crore compared with Rs 29.5 crore in the same period last year. Nine month profit (April-December) increased 45.3 per cent at Rs 118.1 crore. Sales during the quarter were Rs 544 crore compared with Rs 356.6 crore.

Exports have increased to Rs.89.3 crore against last year's Rs 86.8 crore in the quarter. Order booking of the group for the nine months ended December 31, 2006, increased more than 94 per cent to Rs 3024 crore compared with Rs 1559 crore last year. Given the buoyancy in its businesses, the company expects to end the financial year with a top line growth of 35 per cent.
