Toyota Kirloskar Motor hikes prices by up to Rs 20,000

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) today said it has hiked the prices of its key models, including the multi purpose vehicle Innova by up to Rs 20,000.

In a statement the company said increase in the prices of its key models will be effective from April 1, 2011. The price increase of the Innova, Corolla Altis and Fortuner will range from 1-1.5%.

For the MPV Innova, the range of price increase is between Rs 12,557 and Rs 18,424. It is currently available at a price range of Rs 8.27 lakh and Rs 12.18 lakh.

The Corolla Altis Diesel will be dearer by Rs 14,100 to Rs 17,700, depending on the variant. The sedan is priced at a range of Rs 11.18 lakh to Rs 14.03 lakh.

TKM further said the price hike on the petrol version of the Corolla Altis will be between Rs 10,400 and Rs 14,500. The model is at present available at a price range of Rs 10.28 lakh to Rs 14.38 lakh.

For the sports utility vehicle Fortuner, the hike will be of around Rs 20,000, the company said. The vehicle is at present priced at Rs 19.94 lakh.
