TVS Logistics appoints R Shankar as new CEO

Will be responsible for managing company's India operations, will be entrusted with expansion of business verticals across the country

TVS Logistics Services Limited, a third party Logistics service provider, today announced the appointment of R Shankar, as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). In his new role, he will be responsible for managing the company’s India operations and will be entrusted with expansion of business verticals across India.

Shankar, who is the first CEO of Indian TVS Logistics Operations, will be based out of Chennai office and will be reporting to S Ravichandran, Executive Director, TVS Logistics Services Limited.

A graduate engineer with post graduation in Management, Shankar brings in over 28 years of experience in Automobile and Engineering industry.

Shankar commented that he will focus on organisation’s growth through business expansion in India besides bringing in global best practices available in our overseas acquisitions to meet our Indian customers’ requirements with the appropriate Indian value additions.

Shankar began his career with Godrej and Boyce (A Consumer Durable and Engineering Company) and has worked with Eicher Group, Tata Motors and with Beiqi Foton (one of the world’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer based in China).
