TVS Motors on Thursday said their third-quarter net profit rose 137 per cent on sales growth across all product segments.
The Chennai-based automaker’s profit for the quarter ended December 31, 2010 (Q3 FY11) came in at Rs 55.75 crore compared with Rs 23.54 crore in the year-ago period.
Sales increased 51 per cent to Rs 1,647 crore in Q3 FY11 compared with the same period last year.
Total two-wheeler sales of the company jumped 39 per cent in Q3 to 5.18 lakh units compared with 3.72 lakh units in the same quarter last year, the company said.
Motorcycle sales rose 40 per cent to 2.11 lakh units in Q3 FY11 from 1.51 lakh units in the year-ago quarter, it added.
