Total two-wheeler sales grew 25.6 per cent to 384,307 units in October 2018, from 308,364 units in October 2017. Domestic two-wheeler sales registered a growth of 25.4 per cent to 338,988 units, from 270,372 units during the same month last year.
Scooter sales posted a growth of 41.3 per cent to 151,040 units during October this year, from 106,910 units in the same month the previous year. Motorcycle sales have seen a growth of 20 per cent to 150,429 units, from 125,409 units in October 2017.
Exports grew by 27.5 per cent to 57,926 units from 45,437 units during the comparable period. Two-wheeler exports grew by 19.3 per cent to 45,319 units from 37,992 units.
Three-wheeler sales registered 56 per cent growth to 14,120 units from 9,047 units in October 2017.
