Vodafone launches international roaming pack

Vodafone India today introduced an international roaming pack for its customers offering over 90% discount on data and approximately 64% discount on calls while travelling across 45 countries, including the US and the UK.

The roaming pack is available for a rental of Rs 2,499 and comes with a validity of 30 days, Vodafone said in a statement.

Vodafone users will be able to access data for Rs 50/MB while roaming overseas. The existing rate is Rs 563.2/MB.

"Outgoing local and international calls will be charged at Rs 25/min and Rs 50/min respectively. Incoming calls will cost Rs 50/min," it added.

On international roaming, the existing rate for outgoing local and international calls is Rs 70 per minute and Rs 140 per minute respectively while incoming calls are charged at Rs 70 per minute.

The company said these benefits are offered across 45 countries in partnership with select network operator in each country. Usage on any other international operator's network in these countries will be charged at standard international roaming charges.

The new pack is in addition to the Rs 1,499 pack launched last year that offered 60% discount on international roaming on voice, data and SMS in a single pack, it added.
