Vodafone offers to triple points of interconnect with Jio

Vodafone said it had always provided PoIs to other operators for all their fair, reasonable and legitimate requirements

Vodafone India has decided to increase interconnect capacity between it and Jio by three times. In a statement, Vodafone said it “is hopeful that all issues that it has raised with Trai and Jio will be duly considered and resolved at the earliest”.

In response to Vodafone's statement on augmentation of interconnect bandwidth, Jio said the quantum of Points of Interconnects proposed to be released by the British telco was substantially less than the requirement estimated based on transparent workings shared with the company.

Jio said in the past ten days 1.5 million Jio's calls have failed on Vodafone's network. Jio said its customers were deprived of a  superior voice experience because of interconnect issues.
