Infosys is trying to revive employee morale and reach out to customers despite an imminent board shake-out, to reassure them that it is business as usual for the firm in terms of delivering projects.
Days after the interim chief executive officer Pravin Rao wrote to its employees, urging them to stay focused on work in the wake of the firm going through an"unsettling" scrutiny, the IT services major has uploaded a video with messages from the employees saying how they are unperturbed by the ongoing issues at the management level.
While Infosys has accused Murthy of running a "misguided campaign", the co-founder reiterated that the board has failed in corporate governance, an issue which was for the first time raised when Infosys committed a "hefty" severance package to former chief financial officer Rajiv Bansal.
Infosys has posted a video on its official Facebook page taking the views of employees on current issues, including the leadership crisis at the helm. While many claimed that they are unfazed by the "board room battle" and have kept their focus on how they can add value to their clients' business, some of them said they experienced challenges in the past and are "going strong" despite the odds.
"We found the base of the pyramid, and if we are going strong and focused on deliverables we have a better tomorrow and things will fall in place," said one of the employees featured in the video.
"It is business as usual," said another employee.
In his letter to the Infoscions, Rao appealed that they should stay on course, focusing on execution and expand the services that the company has built over the past few years. "We can do it again and we will. Helping each other, when it is needed, to stay focused on what matters- our commitments, our clients, our vision of who we really are."
