Welspun bags orders worth Rs 3,000 cr

The company, however, did not disclose names of companies from which it has secured orders.     

"These orders mark a strong beginning and reinstates Welspun's credibility as a company which strives for engineering excellence," Welspun Vice-Chairman and Managing Director B K Goenka said.     

The overseas orders during the first quarter are primarily from diversified markets including the American continent, the release added.     

The company, a subsidiary of the Welspun Group, had recently announced commissioning of its new plate mill with a capacity of 1.5 million tonne.
