Wipro opens office in UK to offer digital services to clients

Wipro Digital, the digital business unit of India's third largest Information Technology services company Wipro has opened an office in London with an aim of offering digital transformation services to its UK and European customers.

The company also said it is planning to step up its hiring in the country for its digital business and expand the range of services.

The Bengaluru-headquartered company presently employs over 4,000 people in the UK. Over the past one year, the company has added over 600 people to its workforce in the country.

"Wipro has shared a long standing and synergistic relationship with leading UK businesses over the past two decades," said T K Kurien, Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Board, Wipro Ltd.

"Wipro is deeply committed to job creation in the UK and has an abiding interest in engaging closely with the local communities."

The new office which the company terms as 'pod' would house design and engineering teams to work side-by-side with the clients.

"The opening of this pod is a key milestone in Wipro Digital's journey as we continue to build multi-disciplinary teams to unveil new products and service experiences that keep pace with changing customer behavior and expectations," said Rajan Kohli, Senior Vice President and Global Head, Wipro Digital.
