Wipro Q4 net up 10% at Rs 2,227 cr q-o-q

Announces dividend of Rs 5 per share

IT company Wipro reported a 10% increase in net profit at Rs 2,227 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2014. It was Rs 2,014 crore in the previous quarter that ended December 31, 2013.

The IT service EBIT also rose 9.5% to Rs 2,605 crore as compared to Rs 2,379 crore in the previous quarter.

The company added 59 new clients in Q4.

The IT service revenue in dollars was at $1,720.2 million while it was $1,678.4 million a quarter ago, a growth of 2.5%.

The company sees Q1 FY15 IT services revenue at $1,715-1,755 million. Revenue from IT services is Rs10,620 crore, an increase of 24% y-o-y.

Wipro will pay final dividend of Rs 5 per share.

On Thursday, the company's stocks on BSE closed 2.3% up at Rs 585 apiece.
