Net profit for the quarter was at Rs 24.73 crore from Rs 13.35 crore for the corresponding quarter last financial year.
Revenue for the quarter at Rs 211.07 crore was up 12.3 per cent from Rs 187.9 crore for the same quarter ended June 30, 2008.
The company reported a marginal forex gain of Rs 3 crore for the quarter. "We have not been too aggressive in our hedging strategy. At any given time we have 60 per cent or so in forward hedges. Since the Rupee depreciated by almost 10 per cent we had some gains," said S Balasubramaniam, Chief Financial Officer, Zensar Technologies.
Sequentially the company's net profit was up 14.8 per cent from Rs 21.54 crore
