Astral signs Salman Khan as brand ambassador

The Gujarat-based plumbing and drainage systems maker has roped in Khan for two years

Gujarat-based pipes and fittings company Astral Poly Technik has signed Hindi film industry’s popular actor Salman Khan as its brand ambassador.

The company said in a statement here that its association with the actor would be valid for two years.

Astral is one of the leading manufacturers of plumbing and drainage Systems in the country and had associated with Khan earlier in end 2012 as well.”Our association with Salman Khan is in sync with our brand communication that highlights the strength of our products. We have earlier partnered with the movie ‘Dabangg-2’ where Salman Khan actually used Astral Pipes in the film. Now our association with Salman Khan as brand ambassador will further strengthen the brand image and take it to the next level. ” said Sandeep Engineer, managing director, Astral Poly Technik.

Being the first company to introduce chlorinated poly vinyl chloride (CPVC) and lead free UPVC pipes and fittings in India, Astral has certifications such as NSF (National Sanitation Foundation, USA).

Astral also manufactures under ground piping system, SWR piping system, Column & Agri piping system apart from marketing world renowned products like Wavin AS low noise piping systems from Wavin, Netherlands and Solvent cement (adhesives) for joining pipes & fittings in collaboration with IPS Corporation USA under their brand name Weld-On.
