At least 10 people were missing when a multi-storied, underconstruction building collapsed here Thursday night.
The incident occurred in Nanakramguda, an information technology suburb under the limits of Cyberabad police commissionerate limits.
Police said a seven-storied building collapsed. Construction workers and their families who were asleep were trapped under the rubble.
Police and fire brigade personnel launched rescue operation. National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams also joined the rescue work.
Rescue workers pulled out 12 people from the rubble and shifted them to a nearby hospital.
Cyberabad Police Commissioner Sandeep Shandilya said 15 to 20 people could be trapped under the debris.
Home Minister N Narasimha Reddy, Excise Minister Padma Rao and senior officials rushed to the scene to supervise the rescue work.
