Thirty five fresh swine flu cases were reported in Telangana today even as no fresh death due to the infection was reported in the last 48 hours, a senior health official said here.
The 35 were among the 82 samples tested while another 112 samples are in the process of being tested, L Narendranath, director of state-run Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) told reporters here.
He has been designated by the state government to brief the media on the swine flu status. He said many patients who had tested positive were recovering.
The government has made adequate stock of medicines and beds in hospitals available to treat the patients, he said.
Appreciating the role of private doctors and hospitals in responding to swine flu, Narendranath said the government would support them.
