Inspector General of BSF Punjab frontier, Ajay Kumar Tomar, has issued operational guidelines to strengthen the border domination so as to effectively check the menace of narcotics' smuggling and activities of anti-national elements with Pakistan.
M F Farooqui, IPS, DIG Sector BSF, Amritsar has also issued instructions to under-command units to maintain extra vigil on the border to thwart attempts of smugglers/anti-national elements.
The troops were on high alert as inputs were received regarding the threat of smuggling from border outposts, Rattan Khurd and Daoke.
