Antony flags off Aero India 2013

Says stress is on modernisation of the Indian Air Force

Defence Minister AK Antony flagged off Aero India 2013, a 5-day air show, at the Indian Air Force's Yelanhanka air base in North Bangalore, amid tight security.

He said the government is stressing on modernisation of the Indian Air Force. And for this, Antony invited both public and private sector players to participate in the government's endeavour. The government has also put in place a roadmap for achieving self reliance in defence procurement.
