The rise in the water level of the Brahmaputra River has made the condition of Assam very critical and many districts have been submerged in the flow of water.

The Forest Minister will be also visiting the Kaziranga and Manas National Park for assessing the situation over there.

"Kaziranga National Park is situated at the bank of river Brahmaputra and the water level has risen. The condition of Manas national park is very serious. I have been requested to visit there," said the minister.

She further added, due to the current flowing form Bhutan the embankment of the Manas national park has been broken down and the water is entering inside the park.

The flood situation in Assam worsened as new areas have been inundated.

Over 15 lakh people were affected in 19 districts in the current flood.

According to reports, the administration has rescued all affected families as surging water breached Bongaon embankment at Majuli river island in Jorhat.
