Uttarakhand reports record 1,637 Covid-19 cases

A record 1,637 people tested positive for Covid-19 in Uttarakhand on Sunday, taking the state's infection tally to 31,973, while 12 more patients died.

Dehradun district reported the highest number of 623 cases, Haridwar 318, Udham Singh Nagar 240, Nainital 211, Pauri 57, Uttarkashi 47, Pithoragarh 34, Champawat 32, Tehri 27, Almora 16, Bageshwar 13, Rudraprayag 12 and Chamoli seven, a state health department bulletin said.

J&K records over 1,000 Covid-19 cases for 11th day

Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday recorded 1,686 fresh cases of Covid-19, while fourteen patients died in the last 24 hours, officials said.
 
The total number of cases has now reached 54,096 and the death toll mounted to 878, they said. It was for the eleventh time in as many days that the number of fresh cases has crossed 1,000 in 24 hours.
 
"The UT recorded 1,686 fresh cases of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours-- 875 in Jammu and 811 in the Kashmir Valley," the officials said.

Maharashtra's Covid-19 tally on Sunday rose to 1,060,308 after 22,543 fresh cases, a health official said.
 
The state death toll rose to 29,531 with 416 deaths reported in the last 24 hours, the official said. So far, 740,061 persons have been discharged, while there are 290,344 cases in the state, he said. The number of tests so far is 5,253,676, he added.
