Top consulting firms like McKinsey, Boston Consulting Group, EY, Deloitte and KPMG continued to be the big recruiters, accounting for 19 per cent of offers.
Technology firms like Microsoft, Apple, Philips, HCL, Tech Mahindra and Directi were also present in strength, making offers to 11 per cent of the class. E-commerce companies such as Amazon and Flipkart consolidated their presence and have made 109 offers so far, while constituting 10 per cent of total offers so far.
In a first, the Andhra Pradesh government has made offers to 11 students, who will become Chief Minister's Fellows. They will help the state with strategic initiatives and implementation of policies that will contribute to its vision of becoming a major investment destination.
ISB said on Thursday that large corporate groups and start-ups alike competed to hire talent from the two campuses, resulting in an all-time high of 1,093 offers.
Start-ups picked up seven per cent of students across sectors like technology, telecom, e-commerce, transportation and education with senior management roles on offer. Health care and pharma sectors made equal contributions of about eight per cent of offers each.
A highlight was the shift to a flexible hybrid model that included exclusive days for recruiters who had elaborate hiring processes. Apart from resulting in the highest number of job offers this year, the hybrid model also resulted in higher pay packages.
This year, 92 offers for senior leadership roles and global leadership programmes were made. Several of these included offers made to women students as well.
